Teaching Assistant
We are always interested in recruiting Teaching Assistants across the school. Applicants will be child centered in their approach, enthusiastic and hard working, determined that every day provides a fresh start for children. As part of our safer recruitment practice, if you are interested we will need a completed application form before any possible interviews. All staff will require safeguarding pre employment checks which include an enhanced DBS, satisfactory health clearance, references and evidence of right to work in the UK. We would welcome visits or phone calls to discuss any possible application, flexible working would be available for the right candidate. The role is grade 5 or grade 6 depending on the skills and experience of the applicant.

Primary Teacher
This is an exciting opportunity for a primary teacher to join our team. You will deliver across the curriculum to a class of no more than 8 students. The role will be based at Rutherford House in Quedgeley, Gloucester.
You will be a key member of the wider primary team and will have plenty of opportunities to work with teachers and support staff to deliver an exciting curriculum that supports students’ social and emotional development as much as their academic progress. Forest School is an integral part of our curriculum offer, along with a wide range of enrichment opportunities for our children.
Centre Administrator
Are you a dedicated and organised professional who enjoys supporting a dynamic educational environment? We are seeking two School Administrators to join our team – one based at our Eastbrook Road site in Gloucester and one at our Russet House centre in Tuffley. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the school office, supporting staff and students, and helping to maintain our high standards of care and learning.
You will be friendly, flexible and efficient, with excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to the vision and values of The Altus School. Previous administrative experience (preferably in an education setting) and proficiency in Microsoft Office and school management systems would be an advantage.

HR Administrator
We are seeking an organised, proactive and confidential HR Administrator to join our central team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to contribute to the smooth running of HR operations across our centres.
In this varied role, you will support the full employee lifecycle – from recruitment and onboarding to attendance monitoring and maintaining accurate staff records. You’ll work closely with the HR Lead and Senior Leadership Team, ensuring high-quality administration and excellent attention to detail in all aspects of your work. The role also includes providing occasional reception cover, helping you stay connected to the day-to-day life of our school community.
We are looking for someone who is professional, adaptable and able to build strong working relationships. Experience in HR or school administration would be an advantage, but a willingness to learn, high levels of integrity and strong IT skills are essential.
Whole School Administrator
We are looking for a highly organised and confident Whole School Administrator to join our central team. This is a varied and rewarding role at the heart of Altus School, supporting senior leaders, SEND and safeguarding teams, and centre-based staff to ensure our systems run smoothly across all sites.
You will play a vital part in coordinating meetings, preparing documentation, updating policies and websites, maintaining key records, and supporting communication across the school. The role also involves helping to produce the school newsletter, monitoring central inboxes, and providing guidance and training to centre administrators, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys collaboration and has a talent for improving processes.
The ideal candidate will be efficient, adaptable and able to work with a wide range of staff and external professionals. Strong IT skills and the ability to manage a busy and diverse workload are essential. Experience in education, SEND or safeguarding administration would be an advantage.
Family Support Worker - Offsite Provision & Fair Access Coordinator
We are seeking a compassionate, proactive and highly organised Family Support Worker to play a key role in supporting children, young people and their families across Gloucestershire. This is a meaningful and varied role where you’ll be building strong relationships with parents and carers, supporting students on offsite learning packages, and working collaboratively with mainstream schools and the Local Authority to enable positive transitions through the Fair Access Protocol.
You’ll be supporting families facing a range of challenges, coordinating multi-agency input, monitoring attendance and engagement, and ensuring safeguarding arrangements are robust and effective. With a focus on relational, trauma-informed practice, you will help ensure students feel connected, supported, and ready for their next steps.

Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Primary PPA & Cover Supervisor
We are seeking an enthusiastic, flexible and confident HLTA to support teaching and learning across our primary sites in Quedgeley and Andoversford. This rewarding role involves delivering PPA cover, supervising classes of up to eight students, and providing targeted academic and social–emotional interventions to help our learners thrive.
As a key member of our team, you will build positive, trusting relationships with students, deliver engaging learning tailored to their needs, and support them using relational, trauma-informed approaches. You’ll also contribute to the smooth running of the school through duties such as break and lunchtime supervision, offsite activities, and occasional teacher cover.
